Benjamin Franklin wrote in 1775 "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

In the aftermath of 9/11 we had politicians passing laws with feel-good names such as the Patriot Act without ever reading the bill. The PATRIOT Act should be repealed, which would restore proper judicial oversight to federal investigations and again require federal investigators to prove probable cause prior to executing a search.

People are growing up toay without any idea how air travel was different prior to 9/11. You didn't have to take off your shoes, get groped by TSA agents, or get dosed with radiation to get on a plane. Airlines prevented future 9/11 disasters from happening when they secured the cockpits, everything else is just security theatre and a threat to our civil liberties.
